Could Dillinger Escape Plan Be Up To Something

Just a jam session

In addition to signing with Sumerian Records, which is awfully weird to me, the Dillinger Escape Plan seem to be up to something in the studio that is equally as confusing.

The band’s bassist, Liam Wilson, recently posted a photo from the studio depicting current drummer Billy Rymer jamming with DEP’s ex-drummer Gil Sharone.

The picture lacks microphones, so it’s doubtful the jam session was captured on tape. But who knows?

Maybe it was just a drunken Thanksgiving night get together that led to this meeting of the technical drumming minds.

Of course, The Dillinger Escape Plan have been in the studio with producer Steve Evetts as of late, tracking their new album for a spring release.

The record drops through a new deal with Sumerian Records.

“Sumerian Records is now the official home for our label Party Smasher Inc.,” the band writes online. “Look for the new Dillinger Escape Plan release this spring followed by some other exciting projects and releases! Get ready. 2013 belongs to us.”
